How we work
Our experience from speaking to clients is that the things they value most are:-
- a continuous, personal relationship with face to face meetings
- no obligation to invest or contribute to a financial product
- a clear method of paying for advice and a two way commitment
As a client of Feist Hedgethorne IFA, you should expect to receive a high level of personal financial advice, which is clear and transparent.
Many financial advisers rely on the client taking a financial product that pays them a commission. However, this method of remuneration for the adviser can be confusing and has in the past lead to a product being offered even if it is not the most suitable option.
Our process for providing you with advice has several stages and it should be clear at each of the following stages how you are being charged.
Discovery meeting
This is free of charge. It gives us a chance to explain the services we offer and identify the areas of financial planning you need help with. By the end of the meeting you should be in a position to decide if and how we can work together to meet your needs.
Analysis and strategy
We will review any existing arrangements if necessary, analyse your needs together with the investment risk you are willing to take and put together a detailed report or letter containing our specific suggestions for the way forward.
Checkpoint and Implementation
We will meet again to clarify any issues and then if everything is agreed, we will implement any plans, which will involve elements of paperwork.
Review
Depending on the level of service you require, we offer regular meetings to review the plans which have been put in place. Please see the "Our Services" page for further information on the different service levels we offer.
